Affiliate Links And Why |
| |
|
Here's why we put those affiliate links in the articles |
Good Morning
We are in the very beginnings of a new decorating project. When we bought this house it had an attached garage and
an unattached garage. The unattached garage was built like a guest house, porch and all.
We are starting to get the necessary permit to finish the guest house and because of the septic it is a lot more
complicated than I thought.
When done it will make a great addition. My wife's aunt and mother will be able to spend time with us.
I was just sitting outside having a cup of coffee when I realized how nice it is to have young kids in the
neighborhood. Some new people just moved in the house that is adjacent to out back yard. They have some young
children and its nice to hear them playing in the yard after school.
I have received a number of emails in the past few weeks complaining about the adds on the left and the references
to products in the course.
When I first started writing the course I had to make a decision whether to charge for the course or to offer
affiliate merchandise through the course.
I chose to offer affiliate merchandise rather than charge for the course because I wanted the course to be free to
all.
I wanted to be able to add to the course from time to time which is hard when it is in a manual. The way it is now
I just add a new chapter and you receive it in sequence. I usually put the new ones in the last slot.
The last slot is up to 137 days now. So you can see it keeps growing. I have started another 6 to 7 chapters
dealing with soft window valences which I will be adding just as soon as I finish them.
Anyway, to do all of this I need to make money like you. The resource pages and the links that mention a product
are called affiliate links. When you click on a link and buy a product from them I receive a commission. This is
called an affiliate commission.
The price that you pay through the affiliate link will be the same or lower than you would pay if you went to the
site on your own. I mention Blinds.com
- America's #1 Blinds Store .
quite a bit. The reason is very simple. They have the best price on quality brand name blinds on or off
line.
Their prices are better than Home Depot or Loews stores.
I made a promise when I started this that the companies that I put a link to must:
Offer you quality products from national reputable companies.
Their prices must be the same or lower than we can get else where.
The products must come with a no hassle unconditional guarantee
There customer service must be excellent.
This is why the resource page is a work in progress. I am constantly looking for products or companies that match
the above. A number of companies would like to be included in the resource pages but they are not because one of
the criteria is missing.
A number of you have used the resource pages and have made purchases; for this I and my family are grateful. We
thank you.
We also understand that not every one is going to need new blinds or fabric every year. When you do we just ask
that you check out the prices and products in the resources pages and see if any will work for you. If you order
that's great, if you don't that is allright too.
I have no way of knowing WHO orders anything. I just know when something is ordered through my link.
My main focus is to teach you how to decorate and create those Awesome decorating projects that are going to land
you in the decorating Hall of Fame! To this end I will continue to do my best.
